Huntersfield is scenically nestled near the top of Huntersfield mountain where God has established a place of learning and rest. Huntersfield Christian Training Center (HCTC) was started over 40 years ago by current Founding Director Yvonne Shafer and her late husband, Rev. Roger H. Shafer (1937-2011) and continues to be a haven of rest and refreshment for all who make the trip.
In Roger's Own Words:

What a possession…precious life-giving and life-sustaining property…a divine gift from God to be used to bless our world. HCTC is a year-round Bible study and retreat Center located in the beautiful northern Catskill Mountains of New York State. With 570 acres of wooded land and open meadows, HCTC offers a beautiful setting for serious Bible study, group retreats, individual and family rest and relaxation.
